Original reproduction of the pouch that would have carried your canteen during the war.

Comes with buttons on the front, buckle clasp on the back and "U.S." stitching on the front.

Canteen cover comes with an insulated liner made of dark grey felt. Two Lift the Dot fasteners attach the flaps to the front of the cover, holding the canteen securely inside. In the summer, soldiers could keep the liner wet as the evaporation helped cool the canteen.

In the cold winter, the dry insulation helped keep the water from freezing.
