i have a 1947 CJ-2A , does this light assembly mount into the existing hole that the original tail light assembly on the drives side is in? or do i need to make the whole bigger/smaller?

I'm sure you could make these work. The first thing to know is that these assemblies are not for the 24 volt system. The other thing you may have to modify the back panel to mount them. Thanks

What triggers the difference between running lights and brake lights? Does the brake cylinder switch handle both features using one wire? And at the taillight, is the other wire for future turn signal with ground provided by chassis ground? Thanks

Your headlight control switch will control this. Yes, it is grounded via the frame.

To be used as a turn signal as well as a tail and stop light, does this require a new socket, or only a duel filament bulb?

I have part number 647801 brake light switch but when i am running lights i do not have brake lights but i do have blinkers

All I need is the red lens for the tail light of a 1950 Willys pickup. Do you have just that part? if not, do you have a replacement fixture which might also come with a passenger side tail light as well?

Does this come with the bulb included?

Yes, I do believe they come with a 12 volt bulb that could be swapped if you need 6 volt.

When I hit the brakes the tail light doesn't work, bulbs, blinkers and directionals work. Is there a part or linkage to the brakes I am missing?
