torque on these nuts is 150lb.cotter pin does not always line up with holes on axel and nut.tighter-looser?

You just need to restart the nut in a different location till you get it to line up.

No, this is a standard thread like original. The lug bolts on early jeeps are reverse, not the axle shaft nut.
