Would this work on a 1948 CJ2A to make it look like a 1943 army jeep instead of the tailgate version?
Willys Tech:
Yes, with some modification it should weld in.

Does this panel have the holes for the jerry can mount and the spare tire mount?
Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
You will need to drill those, it does have the bracing for them.

Hello, could you please tell me the length and width of this panel? Also, I'm starting fresh without any idea of where the various attachments on the rear panel go - would it be possible to have the holes for the various attachments (jerry can carrier, spare carrier, footman loops, reflector holes, etc.) marked? They don't have to be drilled, but it would save me a huge amount of time and guessing if you'd be willing to share your expertise. Thanks. Also, does this ship freight?
Willys Tech:
The panel is 50 wide, and 17 1/4 tall at the sides, and 15 in the middle where the cutout is.

Hi, I'm resto modding a 1947 CJ2A with a shot tailgate area as an MB. I want to buy one of these panels to weld in (the back is all bondo and falling apart with a CJ5 tailgate welded in), and I was wondering: Does this come with all the reinforcement channels that go on the inside? I can't seem to find them anywhere. Also, does it have the raised rectangle for the jerry can carrier? And do the holes for the spare tire mount come marked/drilled? Thanks. Also, is the Willys marked panel the same?
Willys Tech:
Yes, this will have the inside bracing with it. The carrier bracket is not with it. You will have to drill holes in it.
