I to have oil going from trans to transfer case and will fill to where it starts coming out of transfer case vent. I’m new to this so am I missing something or need a sealed bearing? If that’s the case, can that bearing be replaced through the rear of the transfer case?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Not sure exactly what your questions is. Give us a call and we can help you.

I just replaced the rear bearing now it seems that the oil from transmission is leaking into transfer case and out the rear out put shaft. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
The transmission and transfer case share a fill level. We do have a sealed rear and front bearing for the T90. If your leaking out of the outputs on the transfer case we have new seals and i would silicone the splines a bit too.

These show a snap ring groove, Why? If it has a groove and doesn't need a snap ring, does it matter which way the groove faces?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech.:
It is not used on some vehicles.

The bearing I took out had a solid cover on one side. The solid side looked to keep fluid in the transmission from ending up in the transfer case. This was just like th front bearing P/N: 643721, just that it did not come with the retainer clip on it. Is this basically the same bearing as the front main? Should this bearing have a solid cover on one end?

Willys Tech:
They are a different bearing. They transmission and transfercase

How do I know if this is correct for my 1956 Willys Wagon?

Willys Tech:
As long as your Willys Station is 4x4 with the T-90 transmission it will be correct.
