How would one go about getting a woodruff key removed ( cj2a, L head, gear driven)? Thanks

Really they should just come out. Alot of times they get stuck in there so alittle heat & liquid wrench will free them.

My woodruff key sheared off & can't find the key way in the crankshaft end as all is welded smooth. From pictures it looks like it is directly in line with key way on timing gear? Could you tell me the length of woodruff key in pulley? Does key way start directly behind crankshaft theards?
