I would like to know exactly what is the maximum thickness of the foam padding that can be used with these covers. How thick will fit and still have enough wrap around left to hog clip properly. I want to order some before the covers get delivered to me, and want the seats at maximum comfort..
Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
The foam that originally went over the top of the springs was approx only 1/8" in thickness. Horse hair was originally used in fact. It was just enough so that the springs didnt go thru the outside material.

Is it lined or bare steel inside?
Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
They are not lined. If you keep non-ethanol fuel in them full, you wont have any issues.
