The element that came out of my canister says "FRAM" and "C21" on it. Is this Element to replace that one ?

What oil is recommended for the M38A1? I live in Southern California. No cold weather. Original spec calls for 30W, but that was before multi-viscosity oils. Is 10-W-30 appropriate?

10W30 for the engine is good. We use non-detergent. Some people will add a zinc additive.
