Hello, I have a 1953 M38A1-C Military Jeep. As you know, there is no tailgate for these jeeps. The willy's tailgate you offer is longer then my opening of 35" and taller than my height of about 14".. I thought about buying your tailgate & cutting & fitting it to accommodate my jeep, which I really don't want to do. Have you had anyone retro fit one of these or cut one down from another tailgate that would fit...Any guidance or direction would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks! - Greg

I am working on a 47 willys pickup. We bought the whole new bed kit and have installed it but noticed the tailgate does not have willys stamped or the WO stamped in it. Can we get this tailgate and just install it on our truck in place of the one that came with the kit? Will they match up and swap out?
