I have a 1968 CJ5. Steering was modified to makeshift power by previous owner. I have acquired the correct TL Ross gear box and want to return it to stock. I believe I need the draglink, pitman arm, tie rods, gearbox rebuild kit, bellcrank and this repair kit to mount it. Is this what mounts the bellcrank to the frame near the radiator core support area? I have found only a single hole in that area. This goes through the hole to be a pivot point for the bellcrank?

I have early CJ2A with bell crank ball that bends down. If I buy the bell crank with ball that bends up and your new drag link, can I turn down this shaft to 3/4 in. dia. to fit into the old bell crank bracket welded on the frame? Will the new bell crank fit with the rest of the steering linkage up front(tie rod ends etc)?
Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
I think you will have to reweld the bracket and modify it to work. Ive not tried this personally.

I have a 1960 cj3b. The last owner had jacked the jeep up and jury rigged a pillar to accommodate the job. I found a bell crank bracket, but it has a 3/4 shaft with a drift pin. Will this work on my vehicle, and which bell crank do I need if it is workable?
Willys Tech:
The 3/4 shaft was only used on early 1941-46 MB, GPW, CJ-2A. You want a 7/8 shaft. Try part numbers: 647008 & 920556 will be correct for the CJ-3B.
