What size steering shaft will this bushing fit? Thanks, Jeremy

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
See the fits information on the tube and worm gears it fits.

Is there a hole in the steering shaft that the horn wire goes through? I cannot figure out how I am supposed to solder this wire.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, that is correct. Email mike@kaiserwillys.com and we can hep out with some diagrams.

what is the trick for soldering the horn wire to this brass bushing?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Don't get it too hot. you don't want the rubber insulation to melt away and create contact.

When I installed the bushing on the steering tube it was very loose, I don't think it will stay in place even after I solder the wire to it. Both the bushing and steering tube are new that I ordered from you. Do you have any suggestions on how to keep it in place? Thank You!

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
These bushing go on very tight. Your tube and worm may be worn a bit. Please email mike@kaiserwillys.com some pictures of your worm gear and we can try to help out. Thanks!

How do you remove the old Steering column horn contact bushing cj2a 1949

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
It is on there tightly and we usually cut them off if you can get it to slide off.

1946 Kaiser Willys CJ2A- the grooved insert within the steering wheel is stripped, as is the shaft to receive the wheel. Will this product help me? if not, any suggestions.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Sounds like you need a new steering wheel part number: 914047

What is the inside and outside diameters of this product. I'm looking to use it in a different application. Thank you.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
The ID is 78". The OD is 1". And the overall length is 7/8". Thanks

What is the trick to sliding this down a new inner steering tube it is to tight of a fit??

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
It will be very tight going down. A lot of times you will need to take just a tad off the ID of the rubber to get it to go down.
