The Steering drag link and steering bellcrank are hitting the bottom of the oil pump on my 65 cj5 with 4 cyl "F" head. When I turn the wheel to the right the Steering drag link and steering bellcrank hit the oil pump at the point where the two are connected. Is this an alignment issue or tie rod issue or a non compatible part? Thanks!

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Sounds like your old drag link may be bent or your steering is very out of alignment. Email us some photos.

I wonder if this tie rod can fit on a steering box of a 1962 willy truck in case where can I find it thanks

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
This drag link is only for the vehicles listed. You can only find one for the utility vehicles good used through a salvage yard.

I have a 1947 CJ2A serial number 121788 will this be correct for my Willys?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Just make sure the ball on your steering bellcrank bends up and it will be right.

Does it include cotter pins?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
No, those you pick up locally.

Would buying the repair kit and this item lead to redundant parts? Are there any parts that aren't included with this drag link that are in the repair kit?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, that would be extra parts you would have spares of.

Will this fit a 1946 CJ-2A

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
If the ball on your bellcrank bends up then yes.

does this drag link fit the 43 gpw or is there another one?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
A8250 is the one for the MB.

I would like to order part number 646619. I only need the end fittings and will weld them to my drag link bar. Can you advise me as to the cost of shipping from USA to Philippines?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Please email me your full shipping address at mike@kaiserwillys.com and we can work a full quote up for you. Thanks

Hi, this piece (Steering Drag Link Assembly), does fit the pick up 1960? I cant fin where is mentioned, for this model. Thanks

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
No, but the repair kit 923418 will work for you.

Do you have a drag link for one that the ball bends down? My serial number is 193431, 1948 CJ2A? Or will this one 646619 work for me?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Not sure about your question. Please give us a call and ask for Mike M.
Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
923418 repair kit is the only option to fix.

Do you have a New Steering Drag Link Assembly for a bellcrank where ball bends DOWN (#640184)... versus when it bends up (#647008) as in Item # 646619

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
That is available used only. We do have repair kits part number: 923418.

I bought one of these drag links to replace my worn one on a 1966 CJ5 with a V-6 225 engine. The original one measures 24 1/2" in length, the 646619 measures 25 1/2". the locations of the bends are in different areas on the link when I compare the new one to the old one. Even with this difference it looks like the ends will be in the same position to attach. So I am really more concerned with the difference in length and don't want to install, scratch it, not have it fit and not be able to return it. Plus I have it all taken a part and just ordered a bell crank repair kit. Thank you for the help

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Call us toll free and we can try to help you. Ask for me Mike M.

Will this drag ling come with all internal parts?

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, it does come with the internal parts

Will this fit a 1967 M38A1 (Canadian)? Thanks!

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
The 923418 kit will but i do believe this only fits the vehicles listed above.

Hi, I need to acquire a new drag link for my '71 CJ-6, with the V6/225 engine. This part you have (item 646619) shows to be for only a CJ with a 4 cylinder. Is this drag link truly not applicable for my Jeep? If so, can you help me with how to find a replacement? My Jeep service manual shows that the part number would be 941186 (instead of the 646619, which shows to be for a CJ with a 4 cylinder). Help!!! Thanks, John

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Please call us toll free. We can point you in the right direction for the part you need.

Does this drag link assembly include the dust seals? If not are the dust seals available as a separate item by themselves.

Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Yes, it comes with the dust seals. They are also available in a repair kit part number: 923418

Will this drag link fit a 1959 FC150 ?

Willys Tech:
These are only for the vehicles listed above. We do sell repair kit that would work for the FC part number: 923418

What end goes towards the front? The one with the hole closer to the end or the one with the hole farther from the end?

Willys Tech:
They only go in one way to line up with both the steering bellcrank and pitman arm. Call us if you still have questions. Thanks.

on a 66 cj5, when removing and installing the drag link onto the pitman arm ball, do you disassemble the ends or do they press on and off? thanks

Willys Tech:
You need to screw the end caps off with a big phillips head screw driver.

Willy this fit a 6-226 Willys Wagon?

Willys Tech:
They are different for the Willys Station Wagon. We can get those good used only.

Looking for a Steering Drag Like Assembly for a '67 Jeepster Commando. It has manual steering. Do you have such a part or know where we can find one?

Willys Tech:
Please call us toll free. We can possibly get you good used for that vehicle.

I have a 48 CJ2A before serial # 199079 and need a steering drag link.

Willys Tech:
We have a repair kit part number: 923418

Does it fit in a 1951 Willys Jeep M38 ???

Willys Tech:
Yes it should work for the M38 as well.

What is the length?

Willys Tech:
25 just like original.
