Questions & Answers
On my GPW I am wanting to remove the nut on front yoke of transfer case output, but there is not enough room around it to get 1 1/4" socket in! (the rear output nut takes the socket and comes off ok). Have tried lubing and tapping with chisel, but doesn't move. Any clues? ...or my next plan is to turn down the outside of the socket until it fits in. Thanks!

Hi, this might be a silly question, but I`m from Costa Rica and bought what they told me was a 56` Cj6, but I was checking on my transfer case and it has 2 different shafts, one with cotter pin and the other without it... Is this possible or is an alteration? I can`t find those nuts here in Costa Rica so I want to be sure to buy the right one... thanks!
Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
There are different styles they used. Early takes a cotter pin, later a nylon self lock nut.
