I bought a 59 cj5 willys is was in pieces and had to rebuild the transmission but it did have a bearing retainer. I bought one online and the hole is to small. It's .98 inches and the main shaft on mine is 1.12 inches. The tranny is a t90 a1. Will this retainer work
Willys Jeep Parts Tech:
Alot of people when they had a V8 conversion used this retainer. 640422 is what was originally used with the 4 cylinder.

Is the length of the 906201 approx. 3-1/2 inches from the face of the transmission or just the "neck". I am working on restoring a 47 CJ2A for a customer that someone has cobbled up the clutch linkage, pilot bearing and throw out bearing. I need to make it work correctly and professional. Back in the day of engine swaps I seem to remember changing the front shaft and bearing retainer to put V-8 engines in with "Advance Adapter" parts. The retainer on this trans is marked T90A-8 and is about 3-1/2 inches long from the face of the transmission. Thank you. Randy
