Living in Texas, with the heat here, no way will I ever trust a plastic/polyethelene tank...are you sure the tank only holds 12 gallons ? My research shows it should be at least a 15 gallon one....? Thanks for your ti,e.....

I believe they are 15 gallon tanks but because these are originally a side fill they will only take 12 gallons. This is like original. The poly tanks will have no problems with the heat.
