Is this heat shield needed and will it fit a cj-5 with an f-134 engine?

This is only for the vehicles listed above. They typically did not use them on CJ-5

How is this heat shield installed...? I have one but it was off vehicle when I got it ....!

It just bolts to existing holes in the vehicle.
