YOU STATE ABOVE THE PANEL COVERS "JUST BELOW THE WINDOW OPENINGS". IN LOOKING AT THE PANEL IT APPEARS IT COVERS MID WAY UP TO WHERE THE RAISD RIB IS THAT HAS THE CROME TRIM PIECE.. THERFORE, THE WELD SEAM WOULD BE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RAISED RIB AND COVERED FOR THE MOST PART BY THE CHROME TRIM STRIP. AM I SEEING THIS CORRECTLY?

Yes but the earlier Willys Truck and Station Wagons had a round semi circle wheel well opening. It would have to be modified to fit.

It goes a few inches below the window. See the ribbing. It goes from the back of the door opening to the tailgate.
