Do you install the leather shift lever boots from bottom through and bolt to bottom side or do they sit on top and add retaining ring to top? My Jeep is missing both retaining rings? 1963 CJ5, got new leathers for both transmission and transfer case now I need the rings but want to know which direction.

You would bolt them like the rubber ones. Slide them down the shifter then use the retainer ring over top.

When adding the Saturn OD I guess you'll need to purchase 2 boots, one the original T90 tower and one for the overdrive and transfer case shifters????

The SATURN will have a boot and retainer ring for it. It is a flat boot and ring.

You answered my question about Retainer ring but would use the Leather boot on top of the Rubber Boot P/N 907107 then add retainer ring 649980 or use one or the other with the retainer ring.
