I have a water pump that doesn't leak, but the bearings are going out on. Will this fix that or so I need a whole new water pump?

Other than a puller, is there any other speciality tools need to rebuild the water pump? I heard a surface needs to be milled?

You would want to make sure all the surfaces are clean and smooth for sure before rebuilding and installing new parts.

My old water pump seems to function just fine without leaks, but it is smoking, almost like the bearings are dry. Is it possible to just grease these or is a full rebuild in order?
