I have a cotter pin in the rear axle nut of my 47 CJ2a. Should I remove it or bend the pin to make it fit so that the dust cover fits over? Is the dust cover gently hammered on to install?

Dont remove the cotter pin. Its there to keep the nut on. You just bend and put the dust cover on.

I ordered both these and and the rear axle washer for a Dana 44 tapered, however the dust cover does not fit over the washer. Am I missing something? Thanks in advance!

Does the hub dust cover fit over the 4-wheel drive axle component that extends out from the wheel in front? In the picture it doesn't appear large enough.

Yes this is the proper dust cover for the original drive flanges in the front and hubs in the rear.

What is the measurement of the dust cover? Do they fit over the the entire 4wd hob (approx 4 1/4) or just the center part (about 2)?
