Pretty sure I have some mismatched parts - I have a M38 Tub (battery box on the cowling), but has A2229 style windshield clamps where it looks like it is supposed to have A2227 clamps. Are the A2227 and A2229 interchangeable? Windshield appears to be CJ-3A or M38 - not sure which one.

The flat plate that comes with this kit, what is its purpose. I thought it would be to back the curved, hook part that fastens to the dash; however, the screws do not start into its holes. The original I took off simply fastened with bolts and nuts.
